An Alternative to Text-resizing

Cut It Out! was inspired by the common accessibility feature of text-resizing.

Text resizing has been around now for years and browsers have improved this feature along the way as well. While pondering a project to help me facilitate 'deeper learning' of the jQuery API, I came up with this idea - why not be able to 'mark' (I did not use the term 'tag' to avoid any confusion) particular elements on a page that would be considered strictly 'reading material' and provide the means to 'cut them out' of the rest of the context of the page for easier reading? Voila - now you have 'Cut It Out!'

I have termed this a 'jQuery project' as opposed to a 'plug in' because (1) I have a long way to go with it before I consider it 'done', and more importantly ;), (2) I don't have the experience (yet) of converting the little jQuery projects I do to plug ins. I do, however, fully intend to overcome that obstacle with this project once I feel it deserves to even be called 'Beta'.

The documentation page will provide information about the project and it's progress. The bug tracking page spells out known bugs I am working on. I will soon have a working demo page that is kept up to date with the latest work. I post the most recent of my efforts below, which also indicates the date of my last work.

Thanks for your interest. If you desire to contact me regarding any of this, you can reach me at kennethmdouglassATgmail.com.

Latest Work

Several bugs have been fixed. Looking forward to implementing more features until the next bug crawls out from the woodwork.

I got this site thrown together. It's not complete, but I am anxious to get back to development :).

I have broke from development on Cut It Out! to put together this site and organize all of my data.
